Downtown isn't that big and quite walkable, and there are plenty of Metro buses and DASH shuttles see below to shorten the walk. Some people are partial to parking at any one of the lots around the Music Center or Civic Center, in roughly the area bounded by Grand to Spring and Temple to 2nd. Pershing Square has good parking central to many attractions. On the south side of Downtown, the Convention Center has a large parking garage, although it is near the Staples Center and spaces will be in high demand on game days. Tickets can be purchased from vending machines at each station, and fares are determined by time peak or non-peak hour, weekday or weekend and distance:.

For those visitors coming from within Los Angeles County, local subway and light rail service may be the best option to get to Downtown LA. Most major intercity bus carriers that serve L. From within Los Angeles, Metro buses radiate out of Downtown to many of the city's neighborhoods. Additionally, many of the other transit agencies of the broader Los Angeles area provide some sort of express service into Downtown.

The FlyAway Bus is the most direct and convenient option, running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week between Union Station and LAX, stopping outside each terminal be sure to take the Union Station-bound bus, or you'll end up far from Downtown. Bob Hope Airport is served by two rail lines, both of which use the Burbank Airport train station within walking distance from the main terminal building. The Metrolink Ventura County Line runs on weekdays during peak commuting times. During evenings or on weekends, take the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train the last Amtrak train departs the airport at PM daily.

For either train, use the ticket vending machines on the platform to purchase a ticket to Union Station. Metro is the most extensive transit system in the region, operating buses, subway, and light rail across Los Angeles County. All major streets have at least one and in some cases, several bus lines running daily.

Alright peeps, this here is really important: A few guests from out of town complained about the number of homeless in DTLA and knocked a star off the location for this listing. This is one of the largest metros in the world, it's dirty, it's loud, it's Bladerunner. This particular area is pretty good Arts District and Fashion District are rougher and gentrifying rapidly.

As in Hollywood and Venice and other parts of LA this only leads to more pressure on the homeless population which is the highest in the nation already. Some of California's best restaurants and bars are within minutes walk. There are literally hundred restaurants and bars in a half mile radius. If you really cannot handle the grime of the big city then please book something out in Burbank or Studio City and slug an hour through traffic until you get to DTLA.

Studio City is great. It's quiet, barely any homeless, and you can get a huge place for the same price.     Our place is newly renovated but full of character home. It has a large loft with king size bed and attached bathroom. It has a great small town vibe. Hiking trails all over. One of our favorite hikes are to the Hollywood sign or the Griffith Observatory. Coffee shops nearby, cool neighbors and more. Perfect place to stay if you want see all the best Hollywood and Los Angeles have to offer. Amazing Hollywood loft. If this room is booked please check out our additional listings. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with a king bed and one with a full, and a queen bedroom downstairs.

    If you want to rent out additional bedrooms it's fine just send a message to see what's available. Be respectful of the space since lots of work went into it and we love it very much. It is a different price and this will be a problem, best just to ask if in doubt. This is very important!!! The full bedroom is up a ladder, you must be comfortable going up and down a ladder; it's 8 steps. The room is like a tiny cedar cabin inside of the warehouse, it's simulated country in the middle of the city. We have earplugs in every room in case you are noise sensitive.

    Palmer and I live in the back of the space separated by a big barn door and most of the time have other guests staying in the other bedrooms. We will all share the downstairs bathroom with the toilet but we have a separate shower for the king bedroom guests. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Read this please!!! We want our guests to make sure they are booking the right place and area for their needs and comfort. Our area is industrial and gritty, we are surrounded by businesses that are busy in the day but at nighttime it's pretty slow outside.

    It's not the suburbs, please see above note Industrial and gritty. There are lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, museums and a grocery store all within walking distance. Not next door or in the same block but a minute walk and all of these things exist. If you are looking to step outside of your door and have action waiting for you this is not the place.

    Downtown is a really cool up and coming area of LA with some great history and some of the best restaurants in the City. We love the area and have had many guests who have enjoyed it as well. Check out a map. We are not near Venice, Beverly Hills or Disney. We are located near Downtown LA. Groups of 5 or more are strongly encouraged to have advance reservations. Please note that if the tour reaches capacity, patrons with paid reservations have priority.
