When the Lost Boys get too old, Peter "thins them out. Maybe Pan isn't that specific with how he gets rid of the Boys, but you get the point. So could he really kill them off? More Evidence: Image: Tumblr. A variety of things suggest Peter Pan is capable of offing his compatriots. For one, Peter hates adults like, he really hates them , which you can see in the story :.

As soon as he got inside his tree he breathed intentionally quick short breaths at the rate of about five to a second. He did this because there is a saying in the Neverland that, every time you breathe, a grown-up dies; and Peter was killing them off vindictively as fast as possible. With his clear distaste for grown ups, it's reasonable to think that Pan would have a lot of contempt for the boys as they grew up. Also, the original story was just dark in general, which gives the theory even more plausibility. Grim moments include Wendy nearly dying after being shot by an arrow, Peter being attacked by Hook and left to drown and Hook being eaten by the crocodile.

The "thins them out" line could just be a metaphor, or, as one commenter points out on PainInTheEnglish , perhaps it means something entirely different:. It could just as likely refer to them being killed by pirates, or leaving Neverland upon growing up, or being banished or shunned, etc.

The story can definitely be open to interpretation, but even Disney's toned down version isn't without its dark moments. If true, could Disney's Pan be capable of killing the Lost Boys, too? Image: Tumblr. Tap here to turn on desktop notifications to get the news sent straight to you.

If the aggression is more predictable and situational, the dogs can be together as long as you can manage and prevent the trigger s from causing conflict. If the dogs are stressed by each other, of course, the first task is to keep them separated, through the assiduous use of doors, fences , baby gates, crates , and tethers.

Take them outdoors to potty separately, and separate them well before feeding time, to reduce tensions that arise when everyone is jostling to be fed first. For example: Say one of your dogs goes over threshold when she sees the mailman approaching your house through the living room window, and her barking display of aggression seems to agitate your other dog.

Or you could move your mailbox to toward the sidewalk, instead of next to the front door — the farther from the house, the better. Be creative! Exercise can be immensely helpful in minimizing overall tension.

A complete medical work-up, including a full thyroid panel, is indicated for any significant behavior problem, especially aggression.

Any medical condition that causes your dog to behave out of sorts is a massive contributor to stress. Trying to modify aggression while your dog suffers from an untreated medical condition is akin to pushing a behavioral boulder uphill. Dog on dog aggression in the home can feel overwhelming. In fact, it can be dangerous if fights erupt regularly and you try to intervene.

Many an owner has been bitten trying to break up fights between her own dogs. No one wants to think of euthanizing an otherwise healthy member of their canine family. It will be terribly painful for you, and you may always feel guilt and regret about not finding the solution to the problem, although perhaps not as much guilt and regret as you would if one of your dogs badly injured or killed the other, or worse, a person.
