The Garifuna – an Iconic Belizean Culture!
The head piece that was used was made from old mas pieces, and we just added flowers and leaves to give the nature effect and add color because the women used colourful head ties. The costume that was made incorporated dhal peas, lentil peas, sea shells, paint, and brown cotton, mesh wire and stripped coconut leaves and also crown corks.
